Intended audience:

For those seeking an introduction to the basics of contemporary Quantum Computing.

Overview:

In this reading course, we will cover introductory sections from industry-standard texts. The material will cover basic quantum algorithms (Grover, Quantum Counting, Quantum Phase Estimation, Shor, etc), selected advanced algorithms (for example, QAOA and other Binary Optimization techniques etc), and the fundamentals of Quantum Error Correction. I will also try to incorporate as much hands-on coding problems, with Qiskit, as possible.

There will be weekly meetings (tentatively 2, 45-minute meetings a week). I will also hold weekly office hours on zoom.

This is a semi-structured deep learning boot camp. Each week, you'll complete assigned readings from 2 deep learning books. During the first few weeks, there will be weekly meetings with the instructors and all attendees on Zoom. As you progress more into the material and your projects, you will meet according to your group schedule.

In order to receive a deep learning certificate, you must submit a (team-based) final project by **August 29, 2024**.

This is a self-paced deep learning boot camp, using the FastAI book as the foundation (http://course.fast.ai). It is suggested you take 12-15 weeks to go through the material. If possible, you should meet with others to have a weekly discussion group on the material.

In order to receive a deep learning certificate, you must submit a (team-based) final project by **May 03, 2024**.
